Music This Week Sept 18th thru Sept 24th

Hey there,
I’m still trying to catch up from Lockn’. The drought has returned and I spent a week at the end of a water hose trying to revive my plants. I am starting on editing and posting the Lockn’ shows and have the first night’s SCI shows and Gov’t Mule posted. I also found and posted a great Driftwood show that was lost in the shuffle between Springfest and Wanee. I will tey to get last week’s Cosmic Charlie up ASAP.
As always Athens pulls together and lends a helping hand to help and comfort people in our community. Wed is a benefit for Matt Hudson and Sat is a memorial for my dear friends Melanie and Gary Causby’s daughter Nichole. Celebrate and remember the life of Nichole with friends and family at the Caledonia Lounge on September 21st. From 4-6pm there will be food, drink, and remembering followed by a performance from Karbomb at 615ish. Everyone who knew and loved Nichole is invited.
Also Timi Conley has a kickstarter-like project for a new album of music that he is releasing very soon. Check it out at:
There is a lot of great shows this week and a lot of new bands I haven’t heard playing this week. Please let me know about any shows you recommend. I’m trying to finish this email in time to catch Ben Sollee tonight based on a good friend’s recommendation.
I haven’t had time but still intend on sending out an email about the experience at Lockn’.
