Music This Week Oct 23rd thru Oct 29th

Hey there,
Finally, after a year long wait, WILD RUMPUS is back for the 5th time Sat Oct 26th at 7PM! The Wild Rumpus is the brain child of Timi Conley, It is the Athens version of Mardi Gras. Everyone either dons their Halloween costumes and parades through town or watches us parade. The first year had less than 100 people participating, the 4th Wild Rumpus last year had 2000-3000 people. Lets make this year a record breaker. Parade starts at 7 PM in the Caledonia parking lot and ends in front of the 40 Watt. There will be an outdoor stage where Timi Conley and Friends will put on a spectacular extravaganza show. After that is a show in the 40 Watt with Ghost Owl, Timi and Kite To the Moon and Space Trucks. This is a Don’t Miss event! Please come out and RAWR! and join the parade or be a spectator either way this will be an epic night.
Thank you to everyone who helped with JD Smith’s fundraiser last Sat. We raised right at $1000! Yet another example of the spirit, kindness, generosity and caring that makes Athens unique. I love this town!
There is a lot of new bands playing this week, a lot of them from out of town. Please let me know of any good ones I miss as I won’t be in town much this week. I still have a lot of work to do to winterize my greenhouse and then put all the plants in it before I head to Hulaween in FL next week.
My favorite shows of last week were Universal Sign (bummed The Heavy Pets had to cancel) Kenny and The Bashers and everyone at JD’s fundraiser.
Here is something I found interesting:—-normal-person
