Music This Week Nov 19th thru Nov 25th

Hey there,
I’m back!!! I left Athens a month ago on Oct 16th for Mag Fest wearing t-shirt, shorts and flip flops. I returned early Mon morning in jeans, shoes and t-shirt I wore earlier that day at Bear Creek and promptly froze. It was cold last Thurs and Fri night in FL but nothing like this. Last Wed I was on the beach wearing just shorts and 85 degrees, what happened? I’m officially done with Winter, bring on Spring!
I wish I had the words to adequately thank my friend Lynn for her hospitality and insanity for putting up with me for the last month. I had an incredible time I’ll never forget. Much love.
There was a lot of great music in Athens while I was gone. I know because I heard a lot of those bands at one of the three festivals I attended while I was in FL. (Real bummer about the GA/FL football game). Some of them are coming through town this week.
One of my favorites is Jonathan Scales Fourchestra opening for The Nth Power at New Earth tomorrow (Wed 19th). I’m trying to post their show from Hulaween. Finding it the 200+ hours of recordings I  have from the 3 festivals will be the challenge. My friends The Po’ Boys will also do an opening set.
On Sat we have the return of one of my all time favorite Athens shows, Cosmic Charlie’s Dark Side Of The Dead. This is always a Don’t Miss show.
This week we also have a benefit for The Cottage Sexual Assault Center and Children’s Advocacy Center and the Cloud Recordings Festival.

I’ll also definitely be at Cosmic Charlie’s Dark Side Of The Dead. I will try for Showtime on Thurs (I want to see what my friend Shanna does setting up the lighting), Hendershot’s Coffee Bar Experimental Night on Sun and Workingman’s Monday.
I hope to see y’all at the shows.
Peace and Love,
