Music This Week Nov 11th thru Nov 17th

Hey there,
This is early because I want to make sure y’all got the message that Lockn’ early bird ticket sale ends Tues Nov 10th at 11:59 pm EST. Use promo code: LUMNI. http://locknlumni.shop.ticketstoday.com/calendar.aspx?utm_source=et&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Lockn+Festival+110415
I have Hulaween posted. http://livemusicathensga.com/hulaween-2015/ Enjoy! The thing I remember most about the crowd is that it filled the entire meadow. They were standing room only back to where the hill goes up behind the vendors area. I’m going to have to rethink my costume, wings just don’t work when you are trying to get thru the crowds. There were vendors in the camping areas, above the meadow stage, in the meadow stage area behind the soundboard, a second general store behind the lake and several other places and they still ran out of bottled water. Also the outdoor stages ran until 4 am. I can’t imagine it getting any bigger but I know it will when the stories about this one start going around. The Thurs lineup was one of the best of the fest, maybe they will add a fifth day of music. I had one major logistics problem, the scale of the festival. I had four stages and only three recorders. That meant I had to stet up recorders at the main stage and Amphitheater and carried the third recorder between the Campground and Spirit Lake stages. I left a friend in charge of the main stage recorder but he let me down and forgot to turn on the recorder for Railroad Earth and the two SCI shows on Fri.The Railroad Earth was the real bummer. I guess the bottom line is you have to be there to experience it for your self. About the only way to make it better is to have more Athens bands playing there. Plan on going next year.
