Music This Week May 9th thru May 15th and a download

Hey there,
I am happy to announce my web site http://LiveMusicAthensGA.com/
Please don’t expect much right now as I have a huge learning curve before it will be the new home for my emails and music. It is also the home of a new business model for musicians. Anyone with skills creating web sites and would like to help or give me advice would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to use WordPress.
Wanee, AHR Festival and the web site have put me way behind in posting my recordings so please be patient. As always if you want a recording from before I went to Wanee just ask. In the mean time here is a link to a show I think you’ll like:

Ike Stubblefield and Friends Hendershot’s Coffee Bar 8pm

I’m still tired from AHRF but received a great pick me up when I went to Big C’s show Mon night. Wow, there were so many high powered musicians they only got to play a few songs before the next rotation. It was a really great show start to finish, don’t miss next month’s show.
Wed I’ll start with Rachel O’Neal then to Adam Kline’s show, then to record Kick the Robot for a friend, I haven’t heard them yet. I will try to make the Old Skool Trio at midnight but my batteries are still low, my personal ones, my recorder batteries are fully charged. They are like condoms, I don’t leave home without them. Thurs definitely Kenosha Kid, they are debuting a new drummer. Fri I’m really looking forward to Snarky  Puppy. The last time they were in Athens they put on one of the best shows I’ve heard in Athens and the opening act is a group of friends of mine. As with many of the shows in town it is a pick up band made up of musicians picked Mon this week for Friday’s show. I know it will be great. Sat I would like to go to the Farmer’s Market but there is no way I’m making an 8 AM show so I’ll start with

Dan Nettles w/Killick then to Sumilan. Mon I’ll be at The Hoot and Tues back to hear Ike.

I hope to see y’all at the shows.
Peace and Love,
Kurt
