Music This Week June 5th thru June 11th

Hey there,
This will be brief. I have posted a lot of new shows. The Recent Music posts button only lists the latest 10 shows but there are a lot more. Go to the Home page and click on the June and May tabs so see more. One of my favorites of last week was Patton / Nelson.

Just in case you haven’t heard, the 35th Athens Human Rights Festival is

this Saturday June 8th on College Ave fron noon until midnight. We start around 5pm Fri closing off the street and building the stage. We begin with a cleansing ritual @ 6:30  and  ‘drum up’ the stage afterwards No one showed up for the last one and we all know what happened so please join us Fri.Any able bodied person that would like to help and can follow directions will be welcome. Please join us for a day filled with speakers talking about issues important to us all and great music. Please think sunshine.

compositions of guitarist Dan Nettles, Kenosha Kid also features

packed with music, mischief, general mayhem, and offers a sound
far from the middle of the road, serving noise-rock fans and jam
band listeners equally.

I’m really snowed under. I am way behind with my outdoor chores. I still haven’t put the netting over the blueberries and a hundred more things to do. I will try to catch Modern Skirts then Nick Wiles Trio Wed. Thurs I will be at Whisper Kiss then Odd Trio and then Adron. Fri I really wanted to see Taj Mahal but will be building the stage, anyone wanting to record the show please let me know.I will try to catch some of Rev. DeBhrul on the way to town.Sat, where else? The 35th Athens Human Rights Festival all day noon to midnight. Mon is the Hoot! then Bo Hembree’s bluegrass folk jam. I will also try to record Kenosha Kid, always something different. Tues I’ll try for Old Skool Trio before the Confessional.
