Music This Week Jan 15th thru Jan 21st

Hey there,
I’m feeling the early onset of football withdrawals. I hope the 5 or 6 games left will hold me over until the Olympics start.
We have two great benefits coming up this week, actually one is a weekly one. The Athens Nurses Clinic Benefit at the Melting Point Mon. and Athens Project Safe Benefit at New Earth every Tues. in Jan.
Thanks to the great work by Joshua  Kaster we are almost finished with posting the Suwannee Hulaween festival. Bear Creek is next. If this keeps up I may finally get to post my first Wanee I recorded two years ago!
I’m still on a reduced recording schedule. I really want to take care of the backlog I have before festival season starts next month.

TUESDAY NIGHT CONFESSIONAL Fester Hagood hosts this weekly series showcasing a series of acoustic solo sets from some of the most talented singer-songwriters in town and across the country.

I will try to catch The Ga Women of Song then The McLovins Wed. Thurs I’ll be at Halem Albright and Dank Sinatra then Sweet Knievel.
Fri is really tough. I want to finally record my friend Patrick’s band Savagist but Earphunk is in town so I hope to juggle schedules between them and Manmade Mountains. I also want to catch Jack Logan and Scott Baxendale but Jack is one of Sloan’s favorites and I’m pretty sure he will record that show.
Sat I may not make it into town but if so I’ll catch Moths. Sun as always is problematic but will try for Hendershot’s shows. Mon I’ll be at the Athens Nurses Clinic Benefit at MP and may stop by Drew’s jam afterwards. Tues I’ll try for Carl’s Project Safe Benefit.
I hope to see y’all at the shows.
Peace and Love,
