Music This Week Dec 11th thru Dec 17th

Hey there,
So much music, so little time. A lot of great benefits, fundraisers and fantastic art and music this week. Wed is a donation drive for Our Daily Bread and the Athens Area Food Bank at Hi-Lo Lounge. Sat is the Athens Area Humane Society fundraiser at Little Kings and one of my Don’t Miss shows, Dodd Ferrelle’s annual Empty Stocking Fund benefit at the Office Lounge. David Bromberg with MrJordanMrTonks is another Don’t Miss on Fri. The final Don’t Miss this week is the Visionary Arts Fair at New Earth Thurs.I am not familiar with the bands playing but I really like the art of Alex Grey and his wife Allyson Grey was hard to pick a favorite show from last week. I really liked the HEAP with guitars, the Jeff Sipe Trio and Caroline Aiken show. and Col Bruce Hampton. I have posted all of these shows so check them out. I have also posted Great Gig in the Sky from Cosmic Charlie’s Dark side of the Dead show.(whole Dark Side also posted, still working on the Dead sets). You owe it to yourself to hear Shelly’s fantastic voice if you don’t have time to listen to the whole show.
A quick update, Kenosha Kid is not playing tonight at Hendershot’s.

It has stopped raining so I have a lot of work still to do on my greenhouse so I’m not sure of my schedule this week. The only show I’m certain I will be at is Dodd Ferrelle’sl Empty Stocking Fund benefit at the Office Lounge on Sat. I always support that benefit and they have a killer lineup. I will try to make it to town for the benefit at Hi-Lo Lounge Wed.but I’m not sure where I’ll be after that. Thurs is the Visionary Arts Fair. Fri I’d like to catch David Bromberg and then Rev. DeBruhl. Although I am so far behind editing and posting I still have multiple recorders available and hope someone will step up and record some of the shows I can’t get to. Please let me know.
I hope to see y’all at the shows.
Peace and Love,
