Music This Week Apr 2nd thru April 8th

Hey there,
Great news! R.E.M. is getting back together and they are making their debut on our stage at the 36th Athens Human Rights festival !!!
This leaves only a few slots available in the schedule for bands to perform on the same stage as they do. Two slots are set aside for the winners of the Battle of the Bands on April 19th at Nuci’s Space so if your band hasn’t signed up yet you better get moving. Call/Text 404 895-7153 or email
I still haven’t had time to work on Springfest recordings. Some of my favorite shows were David Gans. Jeff Mosier, Steep Canyon Rangers, McCoury Jam, and Southern Soul Assembly.
I’m getting ready for my DON’T MISS show, Wanee Festival next week. This is a show headlined by the Allman Brothers. The ABB is retiring this year and I expect them to really put on a show. If you need a ride, my friend Randy has plenty of room in his van. Please contact me ASAP to get on board.
There is a lot of great music this week. We have the return of music at the Bishop Park Athens Farmers Market, the Athens Doggy Happy Hour, the March of Dimes Benefit and  Athens Project Safe Benefit and Buren Fowler tribute.
I’m not planning on going into town for music this week except for Cosmic Charlie on Fri the Buren Fowler tribute on Sat. If I’m not in FL for Wanee, Big C’s Blues Night Mon and Lazy Locomotive on Tues.
BTW April Fools on R.E.M. but everything else is true.
